The Canada Student Service Grant (CSSG) helps students gain valuable work experience and skills while helping their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The CSSG is an opportunity for students and recent graduates aged 30 or under to support Canada’s response to COVID-19 by volunteering in their community during summer 2020. In return for their service, students can get a Canada Student Service Grant of between $1,000 and $5,000 to put toward their education in the fall.
The more volunteer hours you work, the higher the grant amount you can receive. Service opportunities include everything from content creation to translation to planning.
Apply for a Micro-Grant
Got an idea that can help your community? Students can also apply for a Canada Service Corps micro-grant to work on your idea. If you are eligible, the time spent on your project can also count toward a Canada Student Service Grant.
