What is the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB)?
The Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB) provides $500 per week ($450 after taxes withheld), for up to two weeks, for employed and self-employed people who can't work because they are sick or must self-isolate due to COVID-19. It helps ensure all Canadian workers have access to paid sick leave.
You can apply for the CRSB through the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for one year for up to two one-week periods between September 27th, 2020 and September 25th, 2021.
Who is Eligible?
The CRSB is open to employed and self-employed people who are unable to work because they're sick or need to self-isolate due to COVID-19, or because they have an underlying health condition that puts them at greater risk of getting COVID-19.
Important Dates

- First eligibility period: September 27th to October 3rd, 2020 (Period 1)
- Final eligibility period: September 19th, 2021 to September 25th, 2021 (Period 52)
